Did you know you have a wine personality?

I'm still plugging away on my vineyard story.
In my research, I came across this quiz: Find out your wine personality. Wine personality? Hmm, intriguing enough to distract me for 2 minutes.
Interestingly, my wine personality came out as the type of wine made in my story: Pinot Noir. Here's what it said about me:

"You have very discerning taste, carrying into your style, relationships and fashion. Like you, the Pinot Noir grape variety is very selective in choosing the perfect conditions, but when these conditions are met, Pinot Noir grapes have and will continue to make the world's most memorable wines.
You are worldly, but you consider one place as your home. As Pinot Noir is tried and tested in a number of wine growing regions around the world, its true home is Burgundy - producing extraordinary wine that will captivate you with one taste.
Pinot Noir pairs perfectly with a roasted turkey breast sandwich with brie and cranberry sauce on brioche."

Cool! I go well with a turkey sandwich and brie! ;)

Which I could really use right now, along with that glass of Pinot Noir. It's been a tough writing day.

  1. My answer was Riesling. Not one of my favourite wines, but nevertheless, that was a bit of fun!

    Great wee post. Thanks :)

  2. I happen to love Pinot Noir as well, although Pinot Grigio is more fun to say. Great post! Good luck with your vineyard story!

  4. Thanks for following my blog! Yours looks like a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to reading it some more. Good luck with your plans to homeschool your kids. I've been doing it 12 years and it's worked out so well for our family. I saw you said you were homeschooled as well. That's great! Now, I'm off to see what kind of wine I am! With my luck, I'll be one of those cheapos in a cardboard box! 8-}

  5. You know, I live in wine country and Pinot Noir is very popular right now (due in part to that Sideways movie which I despise). If you're ever near the Santa Ynez Valley I'll have to take you wine tasting :)

  6. Being Italian, I had to try this. I came out a Shiraz or a Syrah. I'm a chameleon. Hmm. Interesting.

  7. Wendy--See, I love Riesling! But, to be honest, though I'm writing about wine, my taste isn't extremely sophisticated yet...I think I need to do more research...for, um, authenticity.
Sam--you're right, Pinot Grigio IS fun to say! i think it's going to be my new pretend expletive. Like when I drop something on my foot, "Pinot Grigio!"
Susan--thank you. It was just one of those days...over now though. :)
Rena--yay homeschoolers! I think the best thing about homeschooling for me was that my parents instilled in us that we could do whatever we set our hearts on. And, you know, no mean teachers...until college.
Sherrie--if I'm ever in the Santa Ynez Valley, I may take you up on that. :) Maybe a book signing someday.....
Carmela--you can be two? You're a new variety! Winemakers somewhere should know about this. It could be the next champagne. ;)

  8. Interersting...lots of Rieslings commenting here. And now here's one more, if the quiz pegged me right.
And Faith, I have a nice bottle of Bourgogne awaiting a cause for celebration. I'd say the publication of your vineyard story would be an appropriate time to pop the cork. You can hold me to it. Happy writing, Jed
