And the research towers high

I am deep in the heart of research--though I wish I was actually researching on site at that lovely city on the left. Can I just say I am so excited about my new WIP?
(Random fact: did you know that the residents of Cremona, Italy were once so obsessed with sweets that the government made it illegal to consume more than two sweetmeats per day? All I can say is, the poor writers. How could they survive without chocolate?)

  1. It's so much fun to love what you're researching. I'm sure your enthusiasm will come out in your writing.

And that's a pretty funny bit of history. Of course, the writer's might not have been able to afford chocolate. ;)

  2. Wouldn't it be great if we could all go on-site for every research project. Sigh.

But I do love it, even when it's all from books.

  3. Thank goodness my ancestors didn't come from Cremona then! I couldn't survive without chocolate!

Have fun with your research and writing, Faith!

  4. I'm happy for you, being so excited about your WIP! I'd love to visit the city in the picture, too.

    No chocolate! Aaah! ;)

    Keep enjoying the research!

  5. Good point, Myrna... See, yet another reason to remind myself that I'm happy I live in the present age. Instead of whining about how much cooler clothing styles were hundreds of years ago, I should be thankful that chocolate has become a readily-accessible commodity. :)
Thank you all for commenting! I can't wait until I can share some more about my WIP with you all.

  6. Faith, is this a different book than the "Vine" one? I am so curious. Where are you with the other book? Is it hard to work on two? I am kind of juggling two books now so, when you're ready, share your wisdom!
